Large Hole Eyelet Ruffled High Collar
Bring more fun into your existing wardrobe by just adding a few new whimsical accessories! A quick and easy DIY statement collar made with large hole double eyelet, elastic and ribbon.
• Cut a piece of face fabric 1.75" x 32"-36"depending on size of neck, fold over ends .25" then another .25" then stitch to finish *You may want to stabilize lightweight fabrics with iron on interfacing
• Cut a piece of lining fabric 1.75" x 32"-36" depending on size of neck, fold over ends .25" then another .25" then stitch to finish
• Cut 2 pieces of eyelet same length as whatever length you used for above, then fold over ends .25" then another .25" then stitch to finish
• Sew face to face on each side the eyelet to the face fabric
• Then attach lining fabric to 1 side face to create an inserted finish
• Fold over the unsewn side of lining and top stitch edge to finish and close, then top stitch other side to creta e channel,
making sure you have enough room to insert 1" elastic.
• Measure your neck with 1" Elastic and cut
• Sew the ribbon at each end of elastic
• With a safety pin guide ribbon with elastic through channel created on collar piece.
• Cut Ribbons to desired length then fold edges and sew for clean finish.
